About the Role:

This role is part of the GTM Tech – Monetisation, Services, and Experience (MSE) Team. The MSE organization plays a central role at Intuit, powering 94% of Intuit’s revenue through its billing platform. As a Software Engineer 2, you’ll contribute to designing and building critical platform services that enable speed, agility, and innovation across Intuit’s ecosystem.

What You’ll Do:

• Own and lead the design, architecture, and delivery of critical platform services.
• Gather functional requirements and convert them into detailed technical specifications.
• Write scalable and reliable REST services with high availability and resiliency.
• Implement world-class user experiences in collaboration with designers and product owners.
• Drive engineering excellence through clean coding practices, TDD, and DevOps principles.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers while acting as a technical leader.
• Participate in all stages of software development including project planning, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Work cross-functionally with product management and multiple business units.
• Champion innovation by finding creative solutions within business and technical constraints.

Key Technical Skills:

Java, Java EE, Spring Framework, Spring Boot, JavaScript Frameworks (React, Angular, or similar), Object-Oriented Programming, REST Services, Agile/SCRUM/XP, AWS, Kubernetes, DevOps, Infrastructure as Code, TDD, Unit Testing

Requirements:

• BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in web, software, or mobile application development
• Strong backend expertise in Java / Java EE and Spring Boot
• Proficiency in modern JavaScript frameworks (React, Angular, or similar)
• Deep understanding of OOP concepts and software design principles
• Experience in server-side technologies (minimum 3 years)
• Familiarity with AWS and Kubernetes (preferred)
• Exposure to DevOps practices and handling mission-critical services (an advantage)
• Solid communication skills to convey complex ideas clearly
• Passion for mentorship, technical leadership, and engineering excellence
• Experience with unit testing and TDD
